Distribution
India (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Jammu & Kashmir), Nepal, Pakistan, China.
Diagnosis
It is very similar to Chrysops dispar in general appearance but can be differentiated by the presence of black markings on the face, black coloured antennae, scutum with longitudinal striations, abdomen without inverted U shaped mark and also by black femora and tibiae.
